How we can help
We make home decluttering a stress free experience
We work through the property with you or your family to create space within your home and to identify excess items that you no longer require. Creating a safe property when removing excess clutter is our top priority when assisting you. This process can be achieved working alongside our qualified decluttering specialist teams to bring your home back to a more harmonious environment.
We will assist you in regards to finding personal and sentimental items throughout the home that you want for yourself or family members if required. If you cannot be at the property we will use our expertise and put these aside for you. Nothing will be removed without you liaising with our Site Manager who will be your point of contact when the home clearance begins.
We sell each household item through various channels on our database that we believe will achieve the best financial return for you. We note any items that are not cost effective are put through our Pass It Forward program where we reuse, recycle and repurpose within the local community. In doing this, the cost of waste will be reduced.
If the property is being sold, we can undertake a deep clean, complete maintenance, paint, landscape, and renovate entire rooms in the property if required

Decluttering Tips
The compulsion to hold onto possessions often comes from good intentions, but the tendency to retain random items can quickly become excessive within a home, particularly for seniors who have grown up in a struggling household. Here are some essential decluttering tips that can help you to create a happier, healthier home.
How to declutter your home
One of the hardest things about clearing clutter is identifying sentimental items. Many of us find ourselves holding on to things that have memories attached to them, these items can’t be identified as truly sentimental to someone, making them difficult to put into the “declutter” pile.
Thankfully, there’s a process that has proven to help—the KonMari Method. Essentially, the method focuses on creating a more focused, fulfilled, and organised life, by adopting a minimalist approach.
The KonMari Method uses two simple guidelines:
- Declutter non-sentimental items first: Delving into sentimental items early on can slow down or stop you from tidying. By leaving sentimental items until last, you’ll give yourself the time you need to process your thoughts and emotions fully.
- Tidy by category, not location: Tidying by category prevents the confusion that arises when you try to declutter objects stored in multiple locations. Instead of deciding to declutter your living room, for example, focus on decluttering photos throughout your home. For a more detailed description of the KonMari Method, as well as other helpful decluttering tips, check out our KonMari Method article.
Declutter in 15 minutes a day
Decluttering is often avoided or stalled because it can be so overwhelming for those involved in the process. There’s just so many things to go through, and your stress levels can increase just thinking about it.
When it comes to these kinds of seemingly insurmountable tasks, breaking them down into groups always helps. Time is an effective splitting method—try committing to just 15 minutes of decluttering each day, preferably starting at the same time (such as immediately after you finish work), to help build the habit.
Set a timer for 15 minutes, pick a room, and start decluttering. When the timer goes off, you may find that you’re in a groove, and want to continue. Otherwise, stop and pick it up the next day.
Try a declutter challenge
Many of us love a good challenge. They can fill us with motivation and spur us to success. If you’re struggling to start decluttering the house, try setting a challenge for yourself—30 days, four weeks, six months…whatever is most appropriate for your home situation.
Outline the rules for your challenge (e.g. percentage of items to throw away, amount of time per day), ask a friend to hold you accountable, and if you’re willing, post your challenge on social media for the world to see. By making it public, you’ll have a greater chance of succeeding, purely through fear of embarrassment. You never know—you may even have fun!
FAQs – Decluttering
We understand the importance of sentimental items, which is why we save as many items as possible from going to landfill. To do this, we work with you to ensure that the most sentimental and financially important items are kept. For other items being removed, we either sell them, donate them, recycle them, or process them through our re-purpose programs.
One of our main priorities is to make sure that all items of personal or sentimental value are retained. If you can identify and remove any belongings that carry sentimental or personal significance, we suggest you do so prior to us commencing our work.
Alternatively, you can ask us to remove specific items such as pieces of art, or categories of items such as precious photos. In addition to this, we always use discretion as we remove items from the home. We routinely find items that are of value to our clients, in fact in almost 50% of cases this occurs even after they have looked extensively for such items. In many cases they were simply unaware that they were there. These items include jewellery, important photographs, cash, and many other treasures that were deeply buried within the home.
Our team is highly experienced when it comes to decluttering, and we are able to exercise judgment when it comes to working with a client. If we encounter anything that we believe might be important to you, we will put it aside and inform you promptly. We are of the belief that it is best to be on the safe side when decluttering homes. In line with this belief, we will never dispose of anything unless we are completely confident that it is not of any value to your or your loved ones.
In most cases, we can then complete your decluttering project within one to two weeks. If you are running on a deadline, such as a settlement of a property sales contract, then we can usually expedite your project and complete it quicker.
If you would like a clear timeframe for your declutter process, please contact us through our website, and we’ll arrange a quick 15-30 minute phone consultation.
The cost of our decluttering services depends on your situation, with the size of the home and the number of belongings contributing to the final cost. However, in our experience, we find that approximately 0.5% to 2% of the property’s value will cover the cost of its complete clearance. This includes maintenance, cleaning, decluttering, and preparing the property ready for the sales market.
